Spiritual

Many of our clients have had spiritual upbringings but do not resonate with these histories as adults. Others consider themselves followers of Jesus or people of faith but feel like misfits in their religious community. We really enjoy holding a non-judgmental space for clients to explore what resonates. Below are some resources that could be helpful for someone on this type of journey.

You Are Enough by Jonathan Puddle

"Drawing from Scripture, trauma-informed therapy, Christian inner-healing, breathing and embodiment exercises, and silent prayer & contemplative spirituality, You Are Enough: Learning to Love Yourself the Way God Loves You is a devotional like no other. Each daily reading is easy to understand, combined with practical exercises to help you embrace the truth of your beloved-ness in every part of your mind, body, soul and spirit. If you’re looking for a holistic healing journey towards abundant life, this is for you." --Excerpt from JonathanPuddle.com

"Walking through Psalm 23 phrase by phrase, therapist and author K.J. Ramsey explores the landscape of our fear, trauma, and faith. When she stepped through her own wilderness of spiritual abuse and religious trauma, K.J. discovered that courage is not the absence of anxiety but the practice of trusting we will be held and loved no matter what...The Lord is My Courage is for the deconstructing and the dreamers, the afraid and the amazed, for those whose fear has not been fully shepherded but who can't seem to stop listening for their Good Shepherd's Voice." --Excerpt from KJRamsey.com

Try Softer by Aundi Kolber
