I have a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology, and have been a psychotherapist, adjunct psychology professor, clinical supervisor, and trainer.

I consider the whole person in collaboration with you. Together, we will pay attention to your body, feelings, thoughts, and relationships. Our bodies and brains function as one, and we feel best when we have a sense of integration--congruency within ourselves, our relationships, and how we operate with the world and circumstances around us. I lean into concepts from Polyvagal theory, Interpersonal Neurobiology, and self-directed neuroplasticity. I honor and deeply appreciate our body’s wonderful sense to do what it needs to do to keep us safe physically, emotionally, and relationally, and to detect any type of “threat” to our well-being.

I help develop emotion regulation skills, relationship skills, and executive functioning skills like starting tasks and maintaining focus. Improvements in these areas can help us feel more forward moving and less stuck.

I work with a variety of issues such as depression, anxiety, relationship problems, family issues, and parenting skills. I enjoy working with people who are transgender, and helping those struggling with gender identity or gender dysphoria, including parents or others wanting to understand how to support them. I also enjoy working with faith or spiritual issues.

Entering counseling can feel very vulnerable, so my highest goal is to help you feel safe in your work with me. Life is hard, and my hope is that together, we can make it a little easier to traverse.
